Our Program

Department Organization

We are a combined Department, with courses taught at Duquesne University, The University of Pittsburgh, and California University of Pennsylvania, and are the only Officer Commissioning Program taught on the Duquesne campus. The department is staffed by Active Army, Army Reserve, and University faculty and staff in cooperation between the U.S. Army and the university administration.

Purpose

Our courses and programs are founded on two main goals:

1. To provide a general introduction in Leadership, Ethics, Communication Skills, and the Army as an Organization to any college student (regardless of military or civilian aspirations) through elective courses.
2. To develop and place successful collegiate students who display leadership and management potential into Junior Executive.
